So there I was taking cookies and cakes to grandma's house though the big dark wood called Molten Core. Of course I wasn't alone, 39 of my buddies, ridding shot gun w/ their AKs were keeping things real. Well Then we showed up that this little piggies house made of straw...
He mumbled something about not getting chin? Anywho, We Nuked that fucker like the pupet Regan in that one music video in the 80s. Well lil ol' me happend to find this piece of trash laying around... cool right, 1st set bonus from epic sets..
Then just as I thought we were done, this rich as princes shows up trying to lick some toad, and I yelled at her said, Get on your knees and lick this!... Well the bitch wanted money so i slapper in the face and said, yo! I don't be paying Bi-OTch!... and grabbed her by the hair and... well she threw this shit at me, but BO YA,... 2 set bonuses 1 night..
Translation, I got lots of goodies, cause i was the only priest who didn't have this stuff in sunday night's mc run... lucky me ^.^

whoa, early christmas! man, i've got to play thumbreaker and wolf more. ...i need to work on my pug ettiquet more tho.
ROFLMAO!!
Wow, that sure doesn't sound like the kinda thing I'd think holy preist would be doing on his weekends. Congrats on the neat set though, the sleeves look funny on your boney arms, like those cuffs you see on those Chip&Dale's strippers. Once again, something I wouldn't expect to see a holy preist doing :) Only 2 peices to go and then what will you do? PVP? Wait for Expo? In other words, I'm wondering once you have epic armor and weapon what do you do?
Hey thumbs. I wasn't able to follow what happened last night very closesly, but I think basically you rolled greed while everyone else was passing?
Sooo... as strange as it seems, folks really don't like to use the built-in roll system. *We* use it because it's convenient, but others do not. There are a few times when the built-in system isn't useful, but other than that I'm not sure why folks have such an aversion to it.
Times when it shouldn't be used:
1) In a PUG. Assume you should pass first, but better yet make sure the group agrees on what to do right at the start of the raid.
2) If you are in a PUG w/ an enchanter, it's common to let the enchanter melt the item and then everyone rolls on the shard(s) that come out.
3) If it's a guild group with an enchanter sometimes #2 is used, and sometimes the enchanter banks all the shards to be used for free enchants for any other guildies as the need arises.
There would be no problem if WoW permitted enchanters to melt BOP items not on their person.
yeah, basically we've been greeding all the greens. a plate item came up and i was the only warrior.. i didn't need it so i thought i greed it. this was at the end of a fight too. my logic (maybe flawed) was that since no one could wear it, just greed it.
so right after i greed it, a guy shouts "pass on all bop" followed by another guy shouting "ninja". so, i was branded a ninja right quick. it sucks to be called a ninja. worst yet, for the rest of the instance I passed on stuff out of guilt.
once problem with the pug enchenting option (again, my noobness may explain why i have a problem with it) is you can't know for sure what item is being DE'ed. Take this crapy pants for example. If we had all passed and decided to dust it, how do i know if it's in fact my blue item being DE'ed or a lvl 32 green pants getting DE'ed? i don't think the console message will say "one ugly blue pants disenchanted into glowing shards"... does it?
anyway, that blue pants sold for 2g.
You can tell by what comes out of it. For example, level 51+ blue items always DE into Large Brilliant Shards. If you pass on a 55 blue, and the enchanter DEs it into a small glimmering shard, you know the guy is jerking your chain. I don't actually have every level memorized as to what DEs into what, but you'll know if something is fishy.
Also, I'm not saying this way is right, just saying that's how it's usually done. ;-)
Tat, you better not join any PUG's I'm in... I assume that we're using the system 'til otherwise notified.
How exactly can one be labeled a ninja if they use the system properly?
If ppl don't want to use the system, they can feel free to use the master looter option... Of course, I wouldn't join a PUG that used master looter.
RE shards... use the system and if the DE'er wins, melt it. I don't trust PUG DE'ers anyway.
<google use only>
USE THE F-CKING SYSTEM PPL!!!
</google>
The real failing was with folks who didn't explain the system clearly at the start of the raid. *Always* make that clear from the start. If noone brings it up, ask. I agree, if they didn't do this they can't call Thumbs a ninja for using the system properly.
As for shards, first see the above paragraph. I'd add to that by saying I'm one of the players who likes to get shards when an item is unneeded. It allows me to save up mats for killer enchants. Even if you're just going to sell it, the shard is often worth much more at the AH than the item is to a vendor.
Again, this could all be solved by allowing enchanters to melt items through the "will not be traded" window. Hmm, maybe I should post this in the suggestion forum. Blizz already has one of my suggestions slated for 1.9. :)
just thinking, what if a fourth option "Disenchant Roll" is added?
