Level Cap

Psst, buddy. Wanna buy a watch?
*flashes open trench coat*
Oh yah, and word on the street is, the level cap will be raised to 70 for the expansion. But you just keep that to yourself, now.
*wink*

Interesting - 5 new levels of skills, and places like MC and BWL will become the new ho-hum gear farming grounds.

$5 says 50% of FoH will hit level 70 within 10 days of the release.

That's 10 more talent points, and the new top-end (end of tree) talents are rumored to be quite impressive. Seems to me they aught to be. =D

how much is the expansion? if i don't buy the expansion does that mean i stay at 60?

Still very few details out, and nothing about pricing. Bliz *hopes* to have it out in December of this year. I think we can assume Vivendi will pressure them to do so.

Yes, if you don't have the expansion you'll be stuck at 60. You also won't have access to any of the new content (and sounds like there's a lot) that will be open to those w/ the expansion.

I knew I'd get bitter towards my beloved Blizzard when I started playing subscription games. "You mean all this money doesn't count towards the expansion, but just a few raids and items?!!" But Vivendi does call the shots, and they need $$ for all their other tanking companies. Who am I to whine, I won't hit 60 for another 4 months anyway.

It seems likely the pandaren option for Alliance is a photoshop job. Not sure yet, though. Yah, blood elves for horde.

ひどい, I felt much better about the $15/mo. service fee when I saw how much content is constantly being added. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until you hit 60 to see most of it. Until then, keep troopin'. =D

"I remove from the homepage the creation screen that was revealed (in the comments here) as fake"

See here.

Maybe it's just early, but I've no clue what that comment means, Alk.

Yah, but I didn't catch anything missing. Guess I kinda figured what you meant, just couldn't figure which specific link you were talking about.

Funny how worked up people are getting about the Pandaren for Alliance rumor.

Sort of like walking into a trek convention and shouting "PICARD > KIRK !!"

I'm assuming that once this comes out our $15 a month will only pay for more expansion content and no longer for normal wow content, I guess it depend how they implement it we;ll see, if they still balance the content they come out with appropriatly then I'll be happy because if the money keeps coming it's not fair to stop the content form coming. (Once TFT came out no more RoC content was made for warcraft III)

"Q: Do you need to own the expansion to play with friends who have it?
A: There will be many aspects of the expansion that are available to all players. However, in order to experience certain content, such as the Outlands, or be able to play as one of the new races, players will have to purchase the expansion."

I'm happy with that.

Outland is not just a zone, it is a whole new continent on another world. Sounds like Blizzard plans to take us to *many* other worlds and continents in the future. One of the featurs of Outland will be flying mounts...
