First, I'd blog the whole thing (posting on specific booths seen and thoughts on the demos, etc) and I'd be sure to go to as many events (panels, tournaments, keynote speeches, etc.) as possible.
Second, I'd try to catch these events:
Friday:
- Blizzard Art Design (3pm)
- World of Warcraft Dungeon Creation (4pm)
Saturday:
- Careers in Gaming (11am)
- World of Warcraft Lore and Quest Design (3pm)
- Comic Panel (5pm)
Did I mention the blogging? Yeah, I'd definitely be blogging the whole time I was there. I would imagine I could produce a dozen or so posts, at least.

Our man Paul has set a pretty high bar for convention swag. As the elder, and therefore more skillful and treacherous one, we have certain expectations of your 'con booty haul. Should you fail us, you will be mocked in writing until my fingers bleed. Seriously, I will consult with The Chairman for material. I'm sure I can get Joe to say some nasty things too.
I am willing to pay cash money for your murloc pet.
Swag FAQ
"Yes. Goody bags will be handed out at BlizzCon, and attendees must be there in person in order to receive their bag."
It sounds to me like swag will not be handed out willy-nilly, and only one bag will be handed to each individual guest. :(
As for the blogging, I plan to take my camera gear for Friday at least. I'd like to take it on Saturday, but that really depends on whether or not I can find a safe place for it during the concert as cameras will not be allowed there.
I'll have to find another night to get smashed and staple forks to my shoulders. Friday night is set asside for the Berry Farm of Knott.
