I'm very happy with how they are implementing the new content, everyone gets to benifit from it expansion or not, but some of the battlegrounds, races, experience levels, and locations are for expansion only players. New race is draeni or Panda, if they let Samwise (http://www.sonsofthestorm.com/profile_samwise.html#header) have his way, it's pandas.
