KLH Threat Meter

A small mod that estimates the threat level of everyone in your party running it. Mandatory in most raiding guilds, but I'd highly advise it for anyone who ever groups with other players. Especially handy for casters who draw aggro a lot.

Thanks for posting it. My only problem is I need more threat, or I'm healing and if I stop people die. And unfortunately the other dude who was in our group that night never read this blog, we need to get him (schnozbott) and Taylor (dexterfoo) invites and passwords, respectively. (Dex forgot his.)

TOC should be open for public read access.

Part of the idea is to have feedback on your threat status all the time. As an unmetered tank, you only know if you have aggro or not. The meter lets you know how big your margin is. As a healer, you get constant feedback on your position, letting you tune your technique to stay behind the tank. The meter lets you stay far enough behind that you can get that big heal off when you need to, or you can throw down a less efficient heal over time spell earlier in the fight if you are too close to the warrior.

Wow, good point. I better get it then, because my healing style is to throw down the big heals, renew, and let the five second rule kick in while I wand stuff, so that would be useful, also it tells me when I can lay the DPS abilities on rather than the aggro ones as a tank. Thanks for the pointer.

Is the 5 second rule the one where you can pick up loot before 5 seconds and not get cooties off the mob you just killed?
