i guess $40 isn't that much more if you truely enjoy the movie. and the longer you stay home to watch the movie, the less time you'll have to be out spending money. ...think of all the money you'll save!
can you watch the standard version from the extended dvd set?

Check out the comment Scott left on my personal blog. He says no, you can't watch the original release on the extended version, and the amount of extra material is significant.
